Bringing risk management advice to Councils

Back

Winton. Diamantina. Boulia. Regional Risk Coordinator David Royston-Jennings recently attended several councils over the course of a week. As the Central Queensland RRC, the region David covers stretches from Airlie Beach on the coast to outback towns Bedourie and Boulia.

Meeting with CEOs, leadership teams, governance managers and risk officers, David’s work was varied but with the consistent objective of supporting Councils’ endeavours to improve their risk management maturity. This can involve a one on one discussion with a CEO to a full day workshop with the leadership team to work through Council’s risk management policy, framework and registers.

David was also invited by Boulia Shire Council to join them for their WHS Day BBQ which celebrated the importance of safety in the workplace.
