In the annual JLT Public Sector Risk Survey, local government CEOs across Australia continue to rate cybersecurity as a top risk. In 2023, it ranked 2nd on the list of concerns, behind financial sustainability and ahead of other major risks including disaster/catastrophic events, climate changes and impact of pandemic.
