For Queensland councils and their ground crews, heat is almost always a risk they need to factor in to their WHS strategies.

Heat stress can cause symptoms ranging from minor fatigue, headaches and irritability to more severe signs like vomiting and loss of consciousness.

We spoke to Thermal Hyperformance Managing Director Dr Matt Brearley—AKA ‘The Heat Guy’—about how councils can reduce the risks to keep ground crews healthy and operating at their best in high temps.
