The LGAQ, in partnership with LGM are pleased to announce that LGM members can gain free access for one year to a threat detection service called the Critical Infrastructure Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (CI-ISAC). CI-ISAC is being made available by LGM for its members to enhance cyber security maturity and support ongoing engagement with the cyber liability coverage markets. The LGM Liability (LGM) scheme prioritises keeping our members safe and cyber security is no exception. No one knows Queensland council risks like Queensland Councils and we recognise councils' challenges in this area and are committed to enhancing councils' cyber security awareness, knowledge and risk position.
As an LGM member council, you will gain access to national and global threat intelligence, expert guidance and tailored strategies to support your cyber defences. CI-ISAC provides a community-based platform to enable councils to share cyber threat information and best practices in real time. The initiative also hosts forums to help members understand relevant cyber threats, discuss lessons learned and feedback requests for additional services and products. This support will allow Queensland councils to significantly improve their cyber security risk management and ensure ongoing access to cyber liability cover.
A dedicated CI-ISAC Member Services Manager (MSM) will be in contact with your council shortly and will be available for any queries relating to the onboarding process for this service. The LGAQ will nominate appropriate users at each council for allocated CI-ISAC ‘seats’. These users will receive individual emails with instructions on how to set up their CI-ISAC identity. If you have any questions or would like further information about the CI-ISAC initiative or other cyber resilience resources and support from LGM, please contact your LGMS Regional Risk Coordinator or the LGMS team via email mail@lgms.net.au.
LGM Liability is already supporting members against cybersecurity risks through a range of other integrated initiatives, including:
